Guests will then hop off at Kingfisher Bay Resort at 12 noon and enjoy lunch at the Sandbar. After lunch, they will experience a ranger guided nature walk, afternoon tea before returning on the 5pm ferry to River Heads with a courtesy drop off to your Hervey Bay accommodation. Why people loved this gift
We went on the morning trip today, & were not informed of the terrible conditions. The trip yesterday was cancelled & all we were told was there was still a slight swell....80% of passengers were being sick, one little lad slipped & really hurt himself. We were supposed to be dropped at Fraser island for lunch but conditions were too bad to dock. I feel disappointed that we were not informed of conditions & given the option to reschedule. I'm also disappointed that they refused a refund I think even a partial refund for the trip should have been offered - when I did ask they said we could go out again...we're only here for two more days & after that experience we're not wanting to venture out on it again! Staff on board were very good, but at the end of the day the conditions were known & dangerous, & then after that experience to not give refunds is pretty bad.
The whale watch was fun we saw 5 whales with a baby. The crew was helpfull. They gave me a jacket and it saved my cruise. It was very windy in the morning. Fraser island was great. The lunch at the kingfisher resort was excellent!! Half a day is not enough to visit but just enough to lay down in the white sands near the restaurant.
Fantastic experience with the Whales ,around 15 whales were spotted a and were very friendly and got very close to the boats . launch at kingfisher was good too and the beaches were amazing. Whale swim was expensive and doesn't justify its price.
