Seafood Buffet Dinner at Fables Restaurant

We bought these two buffets, which is a great choice for everyone, from seafood, salads, grilled meats, cheeses, dumplings, and finishes, with a wide variety of desserts. We read has some negative comments, but there are so many choices here, this is a great $79 deal, there are a $12 deal, red wine and sparkling wine, no limit. There are many options here, and the table service is great.

I found that the food was really great and worth the money. It really fills you up and the customer service was very polite and helpful. It was a really good meal and I would send people there any time to go there it is well worth the money and a nice restart.

We had a wonderful time at the Fables. The food may not be of top class and the variety might not be the widest but it definitely worths what we paid for. Wonderful environment and good service

I got Fables restaurant as a gift voucher for my mother for Mother's Day and we went there together, however it was average at best. The seafood felt very, very recently frozen, and the decor is a bit tired and 80's-ish. Price was reasonable and the staff were friendly. The place needs a makeover in my opinion, but it's fine for what it is. 3 stars seems about right.

Excellent service, great food and fabulous location. I highly recommend the place, I bought a voucher online for $65 per adult on special buy one get one free and it's so worth it! I will definitely come back when I come and visit gold coast again.

I booked this 2 for 1 seafood buffet during the visit to Gold Coast last week as the offer was really attractive with seafood offering! The oysters, prawns and crabs were all fresh and service was good. If there is a wider choice of deserts and fruits then the buffet would be much more perfect. Overall, I had a great night and the price for 2 was very reasonable with this promotion.

We booked this 2 for 1 seafood buffet expecting it to be ok for the price. We were extremely amazed at the personal service we received. The food was excellent with a great range of hot and cold food and a variety of deserts. This was really a fantastic evening out. I would recommend this restaurant, especially at the price of 2 for $59

Purchasing the voucher was the easiest part, all done online quickly and hassle free. Once I got the voucher I saw that it suggested I reconfirm my reservation, so I rang the restaurant to do just this and also 1) ask if I needed to print out the voucher or whether I could display the booking barcode on my phone, and 2) advise of an additional non paying child (under 5) in my group. The restaurant representative confirmed my booking for a total of 4 adults and 2 children, and advised that if I have the voucher on my phone it would be fine. This was what I was hoping for, since it would save me having to look for a place to print from while on holidays on the Gold Coast. However, upon arriving at the restaurant I was told that I needed to present a physical print out, contrary to the advice I received over the phone. Additionally, they only had me down for 2 adults and 2 children. This resulted in a negative start to our experience and slight delays while I emailed my voucher to the supervisor, and while they reconfigured the tables. Once we got in we found the food to be of decent but not necessarily extensive variety and of general good quality and taste. Having said this the two adults in our group who had the oysters both had minor gastric issues overnight, so these may not have been the best. I personally particularly enjoyed the prawns, crabs, and braised pork belly dish. The vegetarian soup and olive bread was also better than I was expecting. A final note for anyone thinking of going with infants: the restaurant is not pram friendly as there is little room to manouvre between tables, and most of the seats are on a slightly dropped level (with steps) from the entrance/food area. Despite some of the negative aspects, overall I would recommend this deal and would use it again if I'm back on the Gold Coast before the deal expires.
